IPAF Training Courses
AFI are recognised as one of the leading approved IPAF training providers in the UK. We deliver our training through our UTN Training
brand.Operating nationwide from either your own premises* or our own extensive network of depots spread throughout the UK, you can be confident when choosing UTN as your training provider that we will be able to deliver a course to suit your needs.
Upon successful completion of an IPAF course you will receive a PAL (Powered Access Licence) card and an IPAF operator’s log book to record the various machines you operate.
Your PAL card is valid for 5 years giving instant recognition of your identity and the IPAF categories you’re qualified to operate.

A mix of theory and practical training, this course is designed to enable operators to manoeuvre, drive and position the machine safely and proficiently. It can be undertaken on scissor lifts, booms or trailer mounted platforms.

MEWPS for Managers Training
This one day training course is designed to instruct supervisors and managers how to prepare for, and safely co-ordinate various types of Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPs) within their control.
MEWPs For Managers
MEWP Harness Training
Identification of appropriate protection equipment and use, correct condition and fitting of harness are examined within the course which covers a range of MEWPS. However, it can be tailored to offer candidates achievement testing on specific machines – please remember to highlight requirements when booking.
IPAF Harness Training
Push Around Vertical (PAV) Training
A mix of theory and practical training, this course is designed to enable operators to manoeuvre and position the machine safely and proficiently. It can be undertaken on Push Around Verticals.
IPAF Push Around Vertical Training
This course is designed to provide delegates with the information and training to familiarise operators with mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPS).
The course is aimed at trained IPAF operators who work in higher risk or challenging environments, e.g. steelwork, confined overhead spaces or challenging terrain. PAL+ training is open to operators who hold an existing PAL Card qualification in the relevant category.
