The AFI group of companies has invested in STGO CAT 2 compliant Tractor Units and trailers to double the capacity of their dedicated delivery fleet for their Super-Set range of large machines.
One of the UK's leading powered access specialists, AFI group of companies has ordered three STGO CAT 2 compliant Tractor Units and trailers to double the delivery capacity for their popular Super-Set range of large machines. Over recent years AFI have invested heavily in a rolling programme to provide their own in-house transport fleet so that they can take full responsibility and control of every aspect of the delivery process for their powered access fleet. They have increased the efficiency of the fleet by strategically locating the vehicles throughout their UK depot network to ensure that the machines are delivered to customers quickly and collected promptly.
AFI has a Super-Set Service Level Pledge which means they will undertake to deliver any Super-Set machine under "Available" status within 48hrs (or 72hrs if the machine requires a 48hr movement order), providing the delivery site is within 50 miles radius of the nearest AFI depot. This week, three new CAT 2 tractor units from DAF will be added to the transport fleet and placed in strategic locations that will allow coverage of most of the UK. The addition of these vehicles will double the delivery capacity of these large machines, which reach heights from 20.30m to 58.56m.
“We have a dedicated delivery fleet just for our Super-Set range. We have expanded the capability of the fleet with these investments to meet increased customer demand for our range of large machines including Electric and Diesel Scissor Lifts, Diesel Articulating Boom Lifts and Diesel Straight Stick Boom Lifts. AFI’s entire class 1 delivery vehicle fleet will now transition to being fully Super-Set capable all across the UK.”
The AFI team at depots across the UK will provide friendly and professional advice and support during every step of a hire, from site surveys, placing an order, and updating customers on delivery, off-hire and collection.
